“Thank God!”
How many times have we said this out loud or to ourselves but not “Thank You, God!” in prayer to our Father? The evening prayer today is Psalms 138: The Lord’s Goodness to the Faithful. It’s about David looking back, reflecting on God’s goodness to him. Reflecting in thankfulness and looking forward in faith and comfort that others would praise God.
Whether you pray once a day or all day, take the time to say “Thank You!” Morning prayer awakens us to a new day in the presence of God: the sun rose this morning – glorious! God woke you up this morning – thank you! Be open to experience His goodness: light traffic on your commute, budding trees, a child’s laughter, short line at the bank, comfortable pajamas at the end of the day…
When we pause to take account of all the many blessings and His goodness bestowed on us, we are overwhelmed with gratitude at His love for us! Let the Holy Spirit fill you up so you may be compelled to share “I will praise You with my whole heart, before the Gods I will sing praises to You.” … “All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O Lord…”
Thank Him. Praise Him.
Help others to see His goodness and to: Thank Him, Praise Him!

He daily loads us with benefits (Ps 68:19).We’re surfeited with goodness and take so much of it for granted. We can never be thankful enough, can we.
