His Purpose Accomplished
The Prophet
Stand in the council of the Lord; perceive and hear His Word.
Stand in My council—proclaim My Words to My people
to turn them from their evil ways and the evil of their doings.
Let the one who has my Word speak it faithfully.
Peter
Jesus spoke plainly, Peter protested the divine plan.
Put aside personal pleasure, do not pursue worldly profit.
Do not be ashamed of His purposes, His words
We will see the kingdom of God come with power.
Paul
Make yourself a servant to all; win as many as possible.
Preach to others; be partakers together of the gospel.
Compete for the imperishable prize,
The Lord will fully accomplish the purpose of his heart.
Kate, your meditation makes me think of Maximas the Confessor as he extracts nuggets from the fathers before him. I sensed the echoing power of God’s Word going forth and fulfilling His purposes.
