Wind From The Sea by Andrew Wyeth

Jesus seems to answer a question that Nicodemus has not even asked ….yet. “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Jesus gives the mystery of being born again an image. The Hebrew word for spirit is ruach, meaning breath or wind. We see the wind move things, we feel the wind, but we don’t see where it begins or ends and we don’t actually see the wind itself.

When I saw the picture above, I was captivated by the sheer curtains blowing. It was like I could actually see the wind coming through the window! God is stirring something new in me through art, and it is bringing me back to that place where my world meets mystery. It urges me to press deeper into the mystery of my rebirth in Christ.
